Status Updates From Triptych

“Greer sounded like he was auditioning for HBO” I love the self awareness. Ok ok only nine pages in but so far I like her writing style. Sentence structure. Word choice. It so far sound like it was written by an adult. Also authors pic is on the back of the book and she’s not what I thought she’d looked like, in a good way.

I know I know I usually drag female authors. I’ve just read so many bad books written by female authors. But I’m not giving up. This book smells like books I had as kid. Lord of the Flies and the endless YA series’s. Remember when the YA section was one side of four shelves at the Borders Bookshop? Nostalgia. Karen Slaughter is supposed to be good. Please restore my faith in my own gender’s writing abilities!

one thing about Karin Slaughter books is that you do NOT see anything coming at all. and we love her for that.

Very intense. Hard to put down.

The way Karin just gagged me good and proper.....

Very interesting... I was expecting Trent to be the main character (it's his series, after all) but instead we are viewing him through the eyes of the main character Michael.

I’m enjoying the fast ride of the beginning along with some interesting new characters in the first instalment of the Will Trent series. Love it.
