Starting this one to read Prey for Us Sinners by Jessie Walker, because everything she writes is magic. I cannot wait to see what she does with this dark sapphic paranormal short story.

I miss when anthologies used to have completed short stories, rather than a few chapters from a book that hasn’t been written yet and is unlikely to be published any time in the near future (if ever).

Did I just re-read Chani Lynn Feener's Devils of Vitality short story before I had even finished the entire anthology? Yes... yes I did. Now I'm hoping we see more of this couple in Pavel's story~!

Devil May Take by Chani Lynn Feener - aka the reason I downloaded this anthology haha. 5 out of 5 stars absolutely amazing. I don’t remember Ledger, but I do remember Pavel. This was so good and I hope we see more of them in future books. I’m now super stoked to jump into Madden’s book 👀 I’m assuming when he says he is courting someone he means the cutie Berga.

Prey for us Sinners - trippy and more like a horror story than romance.

Story #3: Hemlock - an interesting set up, I might read about the other performers.

Story #2: The Desecration of Justice - This had the set up to be something I’d like, but it tipped into too much, too dark for me.

Story 1: Amaranthine - the beginning of a story. It was alright, but didn't really pull me in.
