Alice Coldbreath is one of my favorite authors but this isn’t it — Jeremy Vance is a HUGE asshole but it’s impossible to truly reckon with his (past and present!) assholery when the book is constantly excusing or minimizing it. The FMC’s justifiable anger has been 100% swept aside.

This book feels like it was crafted in a lab for me personally. It’s catnip.
