Status Updates From Hidden Treasure

I am reading a lot of kids books this summer to recommend to my nieces and this one was the the perfect blend of mystery, high stakes, historical fiction and magic. It does address war and death and is really well done in a way that it will spark some great questions about right/wrong, morality, loss, and ambition. Ten year old me would have loved it and adult me does as well.
