Got some gay action apparently

So far I’m enjoying this! I like the opening scene to the novel, it establishes the threat the exorcists face by implementing real consequences for their lack of ability. I also really liked the detailed map, hierarchies, and character descriptions in the beginning of the book. It’s very helpful if you struggle to keep track of too many elements or to refer back to later in the book.

It took this long for it to get interesting..
Idk if it’s just been a while since I’ve read but the writing is all jumbled when I read it HAHAH

So far seems overly complicated.

I have no idea what’s going on. I don’t know if it’s the sentence structure or what but I’m finding it really difficult to follow and understand.
This book starts by jumping straight into the action with two POVs and introduces MANY different characters, I don’t know who anyone is and I don’t have enough context behind all this fighting.
I know I’m only 50 pages in, but I’m struggling bad.

“The demon was deceptively fast. It opened its terrible maw, swallowing Ambrose's arm to the elbow. His scream ricocheted around inside her ribs.”

Stupid.

I did NAWT think I would be getting a captain my captain 🥲
