Status Updates From Just Breathe

DNF’ ing right now. This is possibly the worst thing I’ve ever read… Not sure if I have an ARC or what, but the grammar and punctuation were horrendous, and the plot so far is not enough to keep me interested.

I’m going to try to finish this although I already have formulated my rating & review.

This would make a good teenagers book! I'll just finish it Nd move on!

This happened awhile ago in the book, but I’m super bothered by the fact that this book doesn’t understand time zones. How can it be 4:00 AM in Chicago when the main character
is on her way to school in California??? Pacific time is behind central time, not ahead. 4:00 AM Central time is 2:00 AM Pacific, which means the main character would be asleep in bed not on her way to school!

“All I can think is Jack and I’m falling again and darkness consumes me.” I'm finally finished the book! Review coming tomorrow ;)

“I am no longer Ever, eighteen year old, heading to college and beyond. I am now, Ever, eighteen year old, life to come unknown. I guess maybe this new me has more possibilities.” I'm so over this book right now.

“He whispers in my ear, “I love you Ever Harding with everything that I am.” And he kisses me quickly. I stare into his amazing eyes and realize he is my everything. I will do anything for this man.” He's a boy, Ever. A boy.

“Wow, you can summon other sea animals. Try for something bigger.” Not only is Ever a mermaid she's a mutant. Where's Professor X?

“In two weeks, you will turn eighteen, at that point you will choose to either stay here on land and remain human, or change directions and live in the sea as a mermaid.” I can't believe this book has more than 400 pages. It's physically paining me trying to get through it. Sigh.

Wtf is up with all these punctuation and grammar mistakes. The writing style is worse than what I produced in fifth grade.

Really? This is going to be a long read.

Wow, this is edited horribly. For example, this sentence, "I continue walking curious, trying to ignore my inner voice." There are so many misspellings and punctuation problems, and this is a second edition.

Good book but I disliked the ending. Talk about major cliffhanger.

and after a long night in the er, i only made it three pages, to 98. but this is a little better.

The book really needs an editor. All of the mistakes are distracting

This book is so poorly written, ugh. But I always finish what I start, so I press on,

I feel like I am having déjà vu. There are some good twists sure, but it's like the vampire craze - they all have the same plot lines. For such a life changing choice I feel she didn't put my thought into it either...

dangit... goes to find the other book I freaking loved the ending twist to this one I did not see this coming a book that shocked me.... where have you been all my life

Awful. This girl is supposed to be turning 18 and I feel like I'm reading a 14 year old's diary. The plot jumps around, there are all kinds of grammatical errors and there is no connection whatsoever with the character. If I were ok leaving things unfinished I would have stopped reading a long time ago. Don't waste your time with this, friends.

Pahrump and Gam-aw are two words I hope to never see again.

God, I hate being a DNF. I think I'm going to have to try again regardless of Ursula & King Triton not being my cup of tea.
