Status Updates From Sleep Like Death

Eve sees her mother crying in her room at her, scaling the walls outside. Eve falls, and the next morning she wakes up and tries to uncover what her mother was talking to and finds a mirror. A young man is in it with gray eyes. Her mother appears then, Eve is it supposed to be into this.

Eve tries to get to have a birthday party, but her mother denies it. She goes with Huntress to check on Sir Gregory’s farm, and even Eve’s magic can’t slow the flax. They just have to control it until the end of the growing season, lest it choke their water supply. The Knight’s sentient castle is moving nearby, they see it.

Eve practices waltzing with huntress for her 17th birthday. She also keeps records of villagers who have made wishes with the Knight & they turned out badly. Her mother is in her room, talking to someone and pleading, but Eve never finds out who it is, but it’s a voice from her past that she remembers.

The mysterious & enigmatic Knight is difficult to find. He will grant your wish-but not I. The way you’d expect. Queen Sanaa wished for the loveliest singing voice in the land, she was turned into a nightingale. Eve has been trained to find & battle the Knight her whole life.

Sir Gregory’s flax crops are extending to the river. Turns out he made a deal with the mysterious Knightfor twice the yield of flax in half the time, but there are effects due to this wish.

They take the deer home and Eve goes with her mother into the queendom to meet up with Sir Gregory. On the way they stopped and Eve it’s supposed to hold a baby named Aldis. At Sir Gregory’s, a sprout is thrown on the ground and it blooms lavender. Her mother points out this is a shocking kind of magic.

Eve and Huntress are training and hunting when a Dire wolf finds them. It turns and leaves, but takes a moment to notice them.
