ok ok wait...! see i was frustrated because they have a pretty fascinating theme happening here overall that i think is important, just not executed very well imo, BUT!!! i am greatly enjoying the turn around with the lower level folk.... gomez is the first character who actually felt tolerable in this book (i guess besides kevin riley maybe...)

i started this Jan 15th, 2026, got like 2 chapters in, and then i started 1984 on the 20th and got so completely sucked into that book that i havent even touched this one since, and i finished 1984 on the 2nd of February.......... Wish Me Luck.
