Status Updates From Star Songs of an Old Primate

I've just finished reading "The Psychologist Who Wouldn't Do Awful Things to Rats" and it kinda feels like academia hasn't actually changed all that much in nearly fifty years with regards to the way that if you actually want to give a fuck about students you have to work extra hard for like 75c an hour.

2023/01/03: "Houston, Houston, Do You Read?" needs some digestion I think. It's kind of horrible, but I kind of love it? I think it's a pretty great encapsulation of Tiptree's almost horror sci-fi, but raises some questions about what does matter in life, what we would lose if we lost what the human race has lost in this future.
