It’s tough to match Loki’s freak. I too sometimes tie one end of a string to a goats beard and the other end to my g*nitals for a good laugh.

It’s very rare that a work fills me with a sense of reverence, but this one does it every time. I haven’t picked up this book in years, but, after running across his YouTube channel, I wanted to try Crawford’s version. I can honestly say that his Voluspa is the smoothest translation I have encountered so far. Somehow the seeress’s words are even more haunting when rendered into simpler English.
