Status Updates From Painkillers

Wow. So this book was kind of interesting and had a cool kind of sci-fi lilt that I was enjoying. But then the protagonist went to see his son (an autistic child who had been put into residential care) and his description of autistic experience is genuinely disrespectful and ignorant. I thought I’d give it a few more pages, and the benefit of the doubt- but literally couldn’t take it. DNF.
