So here's what I've observed - classic plunder of trying to entice its readers to the point of hiding the plot of the series. I don't know when it became cool to assume your reader was dumber than a rock and unable to be invested chronically over a couple years. But Im invested enough to want the backstory of my characters and their real history more than the modern adaption that forgot everything

“Dear Reader, I wish I could tell you that this is where their story ends, that the God of Death and the Goddess of Life lived happily ever after, but I cannot. Because as much as Von and Sage’s story is about love, it is also about loss.”
