This man is such a genius. Since childhood. A product of his environment, social exposure, and upbringing

I’m only about 10% in, but it feels like it might end up in the DNF folder. This is the most boring biography I’ve read so far.

Pleasant book to read and my first impression is the amazement to which Bill Gates' parents and his mother in particular raised him to be successful. I was pleasantly surprised to already be 40% on the book without realizing it.

This is so fascinating. And it makes me wonder how much hard work goes into success. Also, the thought that you could succeed. Believe it or not it made me cry in the end.

Enjoying Bill Gates' early life autobiography. It's cool that my wife and I just stayed in Bremerton outside Seattle last month and did some hiking in the Olympic National Forest, which is exactly what Gates did with his friends. While hiking for miles without talking, young Bill worked out in his head, at age 13, how to code in BASIC. Fascinating story so far.

I’m listening to the audiobook edition. Gates himself reads the introduction and I wish he had read the whole book. The guy who reads the book sounds like a computer and puts emphasis and stress in what seems like the wrong places. I would much rather hear Gates read the book

I didn’t expect this book to have humor.
He had an unusual combination of normal childhood and well beyond normal access to social resources that very few children have.
