At around 30%, it starts getting interesting.
Gates begins developing his interest in writing software.
This is what I picked up the read for.

Much better now. The boring part seems to be over.

Pretty boring so far. I had great expectations. The Gates family lived by a set of rituals and rules, and to me, they sound pretty fucking boring and pointless. Plus I couldn't care less about the card games, those are pretty boring to me as well. I'm sure that, had I been born in that family, I would have died of boredom.

At a fourth of the way through this, except for the hook, there is nothing on the development of the interest that would come to change the world.
Like most personal memoirs, celebrity or otherwise, not too much dramatically different from the average 1960s childhood, or, likely, yours.

So far so good, not bringing me in yet. It is a shame the audiobook is not voiced by Bill Gates, I feel like that is bringing me out of it a little bit.

Although Bill Gates’ “ideal” family and privileged upbringing spikes envy, I found the intimate view into the post world-war American family life to be mildly intriguing.

I did not factor in how bored all this programming and coding talk would make me 😂

Not very good. If you didn't like Bill Gates before, this won't change your mind. He comes across as a self-centered, pompous, wealthy brat.

Who remembers Bill Gates guest starring on Frasier S9E8? That scene was memorable.
