Status Updates From Gregor Mendel: Genetics Pio...

Have to admit, I found this to be a surprisingly enjoyable read. In addition to details about his life we also get sidebars with details about the things and people that influenced him, those who were influenced by him snd those who rediscovered his work and carried it forward. Excellent.

I bought this at a library book sale on the last day for 20 cents, figuring I would donate it to a free little library near me. I decided to read it first. It’s surprisingly good. Along with the main narrative of his life story, there are break out sections that expand on details outside his life that impact his story, like one about Charles Darwin who was working at the same time. Good stuff. This may be a keeper.
