Status Updates From The Undelightened

The premise of this story sounds very unique, which got me started. But its sophomoric dialogue quality isn't helping me to receive the story well. Characters so far are proving to be uninspired and one-dimensional. When we meet the God of Darkness he's more laughable than scary, looking like an emaciated clown with a bowler hat and wielding insults like "you're a speck of dust," which is lame. Hoping it improves.

I've been reading this book most of the day and I still have no idea how I feel about the story.

Hmmm. Strange start. I don't care for Leam or his family. I kind of want to skip their chapters but hopefully that changes.
