Schlimmste Lektüre meines Lebens

Liebe den Schreibstil, auch, wenn er natürlich etwas "anstrengend" ist (klar, das Buch ist 90 Jahre alt). Thomas Mann hat hier auf jeden Fall ein ganz besonderes Talent dafür, negative Empfindungen richtig greifbar zu machen. Fühl's sehr bisher, auch, wenn ich lahm bin.

"Gottlob haben sie [die Menschen] nicht verstanden, wo das Spektakel aufhörte und die Katastrophe begann, und man hat sie in dem glücklichen Wahn gelassen, daß alles Theater gewesen sei." uff

Versuche damit, einen Dämonen aus meiner Schulzeit zu bezwingen - war für mich irgendwie immer das "schrecklichste Buch, das ich jemals lesen musste" und ich kann nicht hinnehmen, dass die Meinung meines 17jährigen Ichs mehr wiegt als die meines 30jährigen. Also: here we go again.
