Status Updates From Lost in the Garden

Dialing up the intensity now. And the weirdness. This whole thing feels like reality is fritzing out.

Now we know why you should never go to Almanby. It just seems like that’s not the point of the book. Does it have a point? Does it need to have one? Everything’s very confuzzled. And, quite possibly, THAT is the point.

Everything is subtly warping, and it seems we’ve misplaced an MC. She may also be dead. Who knows. Who cares.

I have no idea what’s going on.

It’s funny how I’m not really expecting this story to have a point. Or an actual ending. And yet, I’m still reading.

SHUT UP, Heather! (She’s SO annoying, and I really don’t know why Antonia would have a crush on her.)

“It was still morning, but already the heat was a heavy thing with tendrils. A big bulbous kraken. It writhed soggily, making everything worse and more difficult. Even breathing was starting to become a chore. No one wanted this hot air in their lungs - neither the stale, dead air which clung to the inside of the car, nor the boisterous hairdryer wind which blew in whenever they wound down the windows.”
