truth be told, I have no idea what the heck is going on

why isn’t there any chapters??? this story continuing on and on with no chapter breaks flusters my brain

everyone says this is gothic horror and its marketed as gothic horror and im seeing the gothic horror references but im not really seeing a whole lot of gothic horror story elements. its reading a lot closer to folk horror and lovecraft. i dont think this is gothic horror

are we gonna talk about him buying his boyfriend a tea plantation in regards to british colonialism in india? because this book has been very heavy on having the "correct" politics so far to the point of being off-putting and then he just bought his boyfriend an indian tea plantation presenting it as healthy for their relationship.

really funny how this opens up with him saying "i hid being gay my whole life and nobody ever knew, are you surprised?" and then proceeds to talk about getting clocked by almost everyone he meets but they let it go because of plausible deniability
