For her, healing means telling people who she really is. Even if she knows that they won’t understand or accept her. Good thing their approval isn’t as important as her own.

No longer does she reach for the bottle of rosé when she doesn’t want to deal with the state of her life. She makes herself confront every last bit of it- not just the joyful & floating-on-cloud-nine moments, though. She makes herself face the ugly stuff too: the unfairness, the anger, the jealousy, the resentment, & the unavoidable pain. She’s never felt more alive.
