Great ending!

There are various types of poverty that Jesus calls us to respond to: "chacer", "ruwsh", "dal", "ebyown", and "aniy", in Hebrew, versus the one word for poor, "ptochoi" in Greek.

God truly forgives and forgets, something we have a hard time fathoming, but it's true. The woman who washed Jesus's feet didn't do so as a FAVOR to exchange for the remission of her sins; she did so as an act of thanksgiving for already believing God had forgiven her, which is why Jesus announces her sins "have been" forgiven (rather than "are"), which she already knew.

The fool is there to reveal the inherent truth, and that is conviction and prophesy, as God wants us to have a chance to repent and improve the way we live while we are still alive. Like David's fool after he sent Uriah to die and took his wife. Ironically, Jesus playing the theological "fool" to the Pharisees and religious authorities gained Him nothing but the satisfaction of FREEING SOULS out of love.

What a relief it is, to be a holy fool, for Christ's sake
