I am vastly preferring this book over the manga so far. My issues with the first arc of Vagabond is how Takezo was just an op badass edgelord and how oddly horny it was. That's absolved here. Takezo feels like a desperate teenager turned feral from all the abuse he faces instead nonchalantly pissing on his abusers. Oko is immediately shown as the predator she is instead of a sexy milf.
