I had to stop mid way through this page.
I was not enjoying this book, and realised early on that I’m not the target audience for this book.
Teenage me, around ages 13-14, even ages 18-19, could have benefited from the perspective of the FMC, and related to the experiences she faces.
Nothing particular has happened, or was said, but Smoke & Mirrors has made me cry, and grieve my hurt teenage self for a moment.
