Reminds me so much of Barbara Michaels/Elizabeth Peters, although Michaels had more of a sense of humor. I will probably read more books by this author.

Terrible

A little slower than her other novels. After coming off Mariana I’m having a hard time connecting with Emily but I still love this author and I know it will get better.

Emily seems spoiled for choice with potential suitors 😉

3rd try.... think I’ve gotten past the character info dump hump finally

Is there a plot driving this book that I just haven’t picked up on yet? I am fine with meandering about a day sort of stories but i prefer those to have character/setting/time development instead of...this.

More than halfway through and still building suspense and ominous feelings. Get to something already! Please don’t be like the last couple Kearsley books I’ve read, which rushed to wrap everything up in the last couple pages!

I'm loving the present-day storyline but I'm concerned about the developing WWII storyline. I'm not here for Nazi heroes in any timeline.

I would like to have some of Emily’s luck in meeting people, especially meeting handsome men, while on vacation.
