Status Updates From The Truth According to Ember

This is irritating me so much……. Not loving the last section of this book at all. it better be a happy ending

The story itself is decent but the writing is so juvenile. Why is the author writing like “She locked the door and left the house. She started to walk down the street. She loved to walk down this street.” ????

Can’t tell if the narrator is talking weird or if the writing is shit

I love that she wears orthopedic flats. Keeping it real

I’m into Danua of course. Ember is a little straight up dumb at times and I think she might have a lying problem. Like sometimes you just need to keep your mouth shut. Give a non answer don’t straight up lie every single time. The side characters are insufferable at times. I understand the growing up poor and being the oldest sibling though. I don’t hate it but I’m not into it.
