This part actually made me tear up when Aldo was on the verge of passing away. I'm not sure if it's just because of everything he went through in the last few years before his death, or the fact that everyone eventually has to say goodbye to the people they love, but this one definitely impacted me.

His sons are absolute rat bastards. I wonder if it is revenge on their part, for their dad to our had a second family? I just can't imagine ever doing something so cold and devious to another family member, or another person in general. And his nephew needs a good slap upside the head and a kick in the ass.

It makes me kind of sad for her that her mom couldn't ever really be a parent. Her nanny Maureen was gone, because she didn't really need a nanny anymore, and her father only visited once a month if that. I can't imagine a more desolate childhood.
