Like there was a chance P-P—he—might come to my window." okay I know that an author doesn't always agree with their character but literally this character explaining that the story of Peter Pan is so powerful BECAUSE it exists in our own world is really making me even more confused about the choice to make this second world???

idk if i’m 450 pages worth of invested in this book but I do like what it’s doing thematically and I think if I DNF it’ll put me in a reading slump so we chug on I suppose

the fact that the real world outside of neverland is still a second world is really throwing me
