Mia’s continued failure to officially report her ex. Or capture or record the situation. This is terrible storytelling and perhaps the author’s distrust for authority figures?. It would be sooo much better, and show Mia is a much stronger light, if she was recording the interactions with her ex and officially reporting everything. Instead we are hoping the hero’s save the day, which is just super bad.
