It only took me almost four books, but I think I'm finally developing a crush on Roarke.
I have a thing for harsh-looking men who tie their long hair back and work on an important task with their blue eyes alert and focused. Or maybe it's just them twisting evil guys' penises, until they can't breathe. Hmm...

This is getting so GOOD!

My reading speed is slowing down...I don't think it has anything to do with this book but I'm not able to breeze through it as easily as I did the previous three installments in this series. Still, I'm very intrigued by where the story is going!

... this isn't really happening, is it? Seriously? Way to ruin the book for me. A sex crime, even if there are circumstances that make it... understandable... still. I'm kind of repulsed right now. Maybe I'm too sensitive, but I'm really annoyed right now.

Can't we have one case (just ONE) where Eve isn't personally involved in any way? I'm getting a bit tired of the suspects being people close to her or killers deciding that they want to make her a victim.

I am officially addicted to this series.

Fourth book. It's refreshing to have an established, healthy relationship without artificial drama because the author ran out of ideas

Still going strong on rereading the series. Onwards to number 4!

She took a long, hard look at Roarke. He looked like a man about to entertain guests or chair a business meeting. His suit was unwrinkled, hair unmussed, hands perfectly steady. But his eyes were just on the down side of wild.
"Christ, you're scary."

All but doubled over with laughter,[she] hugged herself to his back. "Oh, I love you."
He went still as emotion delivered a hard, bruising punch to his heart. Shaken, he turned, gripped her arms.
"What?" The laughter died out of her face. He looked stunned & his eyes were dark & fierce. "What is it?"
"You never say it." Swamped, he dragged her close and buried his face in her hair. "You never say it," he repeated.

I could reread this series a hundred times!

I'm slowing down on this series, even though it's still enjoyable. There are just so many other books out there to read....
