Jakkin reads a book on dragon anatomy and is surprised by the similarity between human and dragon bone structure. This is a thing in real life with real animals; a human’s hand, dog’s paw, and whale’s flipper all have the exact same bones, just different sizes (homologous structures). However, in this book, dragons are aliens; they are native to Auster IV. Why would their bones be anything like a human’s?

It’s really gross how every woman is a prostitute, or if she isn’t, everyone agrees that she should be.

The author clearly writes exclusively fantasy. I don’t know why she bothered to have it set on a different planet in the 25th century. Just have it be a fantasy planet, like Nirn from the Elder Scrolls. Perhaps more sci-fi stuff will appear later.

Every character and noun has two K’s in their name, like Jakkin and takk.
