This one is difficult for me to get through as an audio, but I’m slogging it out for the sake of the author of the Abhorsen books (some of my favorites in high school). Maybe I would prefer it as a hard copy? It feels like this would be more entertaining with some humor or whimsy throughout, but Merlin’s character isn’t quite the right fit, and it’s coming off as too serious for me.
