Almost done with this book and I stand by my previous assessment: Grace is the ONLY one of these girls/women with a working brain and I am honestly so proud of her for breaking out of this herd mentality and saying F U to Blakely’s manipulative bullshit.

When I tell you EVERY (main) character in this book is frustrating, and the ONLY likable one by far is Grace, the only one who seems to have a working brain, I mean it. Blakely is an insufferable, narcissistic sociopath and no amount of daddy issues or traumatic backstory will change my mind. Thera is so desperate for Blakely’s approval it’s nauseating. Meg, too, for the most part. Regina is… off. 🙃🙄

Lucinda really knows how to write the worlds WORST humans.

A classic Berry multiple POV, dual timelines, and twisted secrets in a friendship group. I’m not at present “hooked” but it’s okay for some background listening. I feel I know where the book is going, so I’m hoping there is a twist somewhere or something to just bring up the energy, as it’s a bit flat.

I don’t trust Blakey one bit.. or even Thera at this point

Do you know how freeing it was to live in a world where you didn’t give a fuck what people thought about you? Especially as a woman?

I’m thinking to DNF, and is hard because is L. Berry and I loved here books but something about this book that I feel I can’t finish it

The only reason I’m still reading this one is my curiosity really needs to know how it’s gonna end. The direction it’s heading is so confusing. So much inner dialogue is definitely a turn off.

So far a lot of internal rambling… can this book please hurry up and get to the plot line??
