Some parts are being rushed, but this later part of the book has been genuinely fun.

I honestly think Mesa should write horror next. She can write some really good and bloody body horror moments.

Yeah, the northern witches are the best part of this book so far. Wish we could see more of them.

Nevermind. We saw the northern bruja and it was kind of cool.

Oh, come on. We could've seen more of the northern brujas than that.

I feel like Javier should've been the main POV of this book, or at least been another on in it.

I do enjoy that some of the other characters are getting more fleshed out here.

I need Desideria Mesa bring some semblance of a plot in, because right now, although Rose/Luna is doing some interesting stuff, there really isn't an overarching narrative going right now. The pacing and writing has gotten better since the first book, I just need a plot.

Did not expect that backstory from Hiram. Interesting. So he knows about witches.

Oh, there were strange mice corpses in the wine bottles. Something is happening now.

Oh? Rose/Luna may have done something that will finally kick off a plot?

Javier's going through it.

I'm liking the interactions Rose/Luna is having with everyone, but there isn't much of a plot yet. I'm assuming healing Javier will be apart of it when it shows up.

Things from the previous book are coming back to me (have I already said this?), but I'm enjoying the small moments between the characters.

I'm story to gradually remember everyone, I just wished Desideria Mesa would give some sort of recap of the previous book.

Things are slowly coming back after reading the first book years ago. The writing seems tighter than from what I remember, but we'll see. It's still early.
