I feel like a basic task of historical fiction is to get basic details right, so when the main character talks about the London library she worked at and it turns out to be Chetham's I'm giving it the side eye. Not off to a good start here.

this is certainly a book. i will keep reading it because it is my guilty pleasure

having netgalley on my phone means i can read wherever i want

this genre of book specifically is my achilles heel i’m never not vulnerable to young woman in a creaky old house with ghosts afoot
