Why would anyone with ultimate power make up rules that condemn everyone as guilty, including children and babies, and then come up with a barbaric human sacrifice as a way to circumvent those rules?

The problem with evolution lies with religion and culture, not with science.

Regardless of whether or not they believe in a god, very bad people who have absolute power are prone to killing.

Nothing more is required than the courage to try and an audience willing to believe.

And no self-respecting believer would want to pretend that his god is the only one humans ever claimed to be real.

Jesus the man probably existed, but Jesus the god? Puhleeeez!!!

Prove Jesus heals, and everything changes. Forget spending millions of dollars on religious satellite networks, forget sending missionaries around the world, shut down the websites, and turn off the Christian rock. Want to save souls for Jesus? Just prove that praying to him can cure AIDS and leukemia or restore amputated limbs. Do that, and it’s mission accomplished.

How comfortable would you be if you had a faith-reliant surgeon who said, “No need for x-rays or blood tests, I know there is a tumor in your brain, so I’m going in. Thanks to faith, I’m 100 percent certain that it’s there.”

If you want to find out what is required to be a “proper” Christian who “knows Jesus,” the answer will always depend on which Christian you ask.
