Maberry has definitely done extreme work on layering and layering and layering the absolute mass quantity of evil foes to the point that I can't honestly take anymore. Right now our heroes are basically a bunch of farmers with pitchforks against all the might of every fantastical mythological army you can imagine. I mean obviously the good guys are going to win in some fashion at the end, else no one would read this.

Reading cuz I got it cheap and wanted to finish the story. Still badly spliced together with repetitive pieces like the writing of chapters and scenes occurred over vast periods of time and even the writer forgot what he'd already written. Also, the Witch King seems less than he was, more pensive and less sure. Kagen is still pretty cool.
