don’t think this is the book for me. plot heavily relies on the emotional impact of the poetry, which i’m just jot resonating with. won’t be finishing rn, love the concept tho

“sometimes i am scared of forgetting the sound of you”

i can’t do this

The language in this book is decadent. I do not, however, know what’s going on basically ever. There’s about two millennia of context that’s going completely over my head. (But I do really enjoy the more contemporary parts; so so tender.)
