Status Updates From The Word

I feel like I am inches from the end of this book and yet it took me so long to understand this story.

I am a little over halfway through The Word, and we are seeing Lisa/Alyssa start to deconstruct from her upbringing, even in her memories/flashbacks.

The Word is an interesting story so far. It is told from the perspective of Lisa from multiple points in her life as she lives through her experience in a high control religion. I am not super far in, but the concept and non-linear storytelling are intriguing.
