Read this when it first came out. The series is supposed to be in the vein of Stephanie Plum or Brandy Alexander, but it didn't meet it for me because it isn't as funny. (Imho). That doesn't mean it's a bad series, it just doesn't rise to "best of" this genre. Still a fun read, it's been - a decade or so since the last time, so here were are.
