Status Updates From Les Confessions

I've read basically the whole book and for most of it it didn't really resonate with me. Did some research and learned that the translation I'm reading (Pusey) is one that literally no one prefers. I think I'm going to reread it with either Maria Boulding's (a Benedictine nun), Frank Sheed, or Henry Chadwick's translation. Probably Boulding's. Learn from my mistake, always research best translations.

Might read one small part a day for most of the year, might end up devouring large chunks at a time, we shall see! I like the translator just from his voice throughout the introduction and am excited to see what he, Saint Augustine, and I get up to on this reading journey (that really just stemmed from a whim purchase while perusing the Barnes and Noble religion section, as all good things do).

would make a good devotional, its loaded with scripture references and is one of the densest pieces of literature I have encountered
