A chapter on Bradley? I've never read her and from what I know about her now...never will.

Enjoying this book a lot so far - a bit disappointing to see that the same old "you're cherry picking your examples and getting mad about nothing" arguments toward women complaining about sexism in media have been going on since at least the 1970s.

Crunchy but conciousness raising, prepare to do the work, engage your brain and reap the rewards

I'm beginning to suspect that the typography in this book is really slowing me down. The type itself is an odd choice (using what appears to be completely different types for main text, footnotes, sources and indexes) and the decision to use footnotes instead of end or chapter end notes, was a really poor one. Reading this a chore, not a pleasure.

Verrrry slow going so far. This may be because much of the material covered so far is more thoroughly covered in Larbalestier's 'Battle of the Sexes' and, hence, is not new to me. Hope it picks up though. Dull as dishwater at the moment.
