Verity is starting

I've read 2-3 chapters, but it hasn't really hooked me. I like most of SEP's work, so I'll give it a shot again soon. I will say, this story involves ventriloquist dummies, which normally creep me out A LOT, but their respective "voices" are actually pretty fun. Maybe it helps that I don't have to see them! Also, SEP is writing a new genre, gothic romance / romantic suspense, in this tale, and she's doing well!
