This is so hard to read 😔😩 gut-wrenching, horrific, so raw and yet: so important. What this woman lived through and was able to make of her life is beyond belief.

A harrowing story of what this “child” through to “adult” went through her entire life. I was prepared not to like Virginia thinking that she’d made up the story of Prince Andrew and other men but I’ve been shocked by everything. I’m not giving details, if you want to know, get the book!

i feel so sorry she keeps trying to connect with her parents who severely abused her and still treated her terribly when she moved back to the US to reconnect with them ;-; and then her dad claims he didnt abuse her as a kid??? i hope he dies i cant take this bullshit

It's a sad book but I find myself switching off , not due to lack of empathy but because it is relentless harm on every page - I find myself avoiding it . This is, I suspect, due to the nature of Virginias horrendous sexual trauma .
