Status Updates From Nick Adams Stories

This isn’t my favorite style of Hemingway’s writing. Some read better than others but most of them have the same sense of repetitive wording and jumbled sort of plot line.

The first two stories about young “Nick” grappling with mortality and death and his witness of suicide PLUS the conversation with his dad that “not very men die by suicide” and his childhood revelation that he’d never die is very poetic and indicative of his adulthood and untimely death in real life.
