Out of prison action + romance!

If this isn't nonfiction I would've called it bs but it did happen. Some things are meant to be.

Stay grateful.

I sometimes wonder how people let themselves go so much, like the base addicts described, but I realize that the human mind is quite weak and vulnerable.

I realized that no matter where you are, things will work out (or not) almost certainly a combination of BOTH luck and skill. Richardo essentially saved Thomas's live due to a mutual connection in speaking English. I possess that other people can find common grounds with me?

Good progression from Rusty, and then reads very well from Thomas's first POV so far.

Good book to start with since I haven't read anything all year so far.

Considering investing in a prison cell in San Pedro because it's way more realistic considering Australian housing prices

Thomas walks us through his life in San Pedro prison, and the sheer absurdity of the experience is enough to keep you reading.

"I can hardly describe the wave of joy that passed over me to hear someone speaking English with an English accent. My spirits were lifted immediately."

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the quintessential British traveller.
