Beautifully laid out. Flying the SR-71 was art. Even with the autopilot on, the pilot had to trim for pitch and yaw and maintain speed/altitude, balance between fore and aft inlets (and their respective 8 positions), watch KEAS, watch fuel, watch for engine unstarts. Sometimes, the air was too cold, and the plane flew too fast. All of this was analog. Today, digital computers do all of this.
