David Wright is finished

Really enjoyable. Great characters, nice blend of sci fi, fantasy and humour with the obligatory nod to the Victorian era dress styles. The story sucks you in and the two main characters' histories are gradually revealed. Left on a cliffhanger, this paves the way nicely for book 2. A great introduction to Steampunk fiction.

Enjoyable romp. Nice, colourful characters. Nothing too technical, the storyline is developing nicely. This novel is to see if you do like Steampunk. Based on what I've read so far, the answer is a definitive yes!
