Excellent - I have finished listening to it - but still working through the written text for notes and highlights.

“since we can imagine fantastic things that do not exist, it might seem that the idea of an absolutely perfect being exists only in our minds. but things that exist outside our minds as well as inside the are greater and more perfect than things that we only think about.” this book is very insightful and i find it very interesting to learn about all of these philosophical ideas, very deep

“The translators asked themselves what the concepts they were putting into Latin meant in terms of their own beliefs—whether or not they could be harmonized with traditional Christian doctrines…This is where the Arab philosophers proved invaluable…They [as] monotheists…had already recognized and dealt with certain aspects of Aristotelian thinking that priests and monks were bound to find disturbing.”

Interesting and informative to a point, but has very little to do with faiths other than Christian, the title is misleading. The last chapter is the author's soapbox on affairs of early 2000s.
