Status Updates From Mirror's Hope (Mirror World...

A bit of a weird, somewhat anti-climactic ending. But that's forgiveable knowing there are more books yet to come in the series. I'm not a huge fan of the way it ended, however HOW it ended did make sense, feeling like appropriate consequences occurred for bad decisions made earlier by the characters. And I loved Elizabeth at the end. :) Her personality there especially felt reminiscent of a friend of mine.

Oh, I was wrong! I'm glad I was wrong about that. But wait... now I'm confused about something else... I'm at a bit of an advantage over the other people in my book club... However that may also be the source of my confusion, as I've been making grand assumptions (and giggling about them) from the beginning. Either way, better than Robert Jordan! :) And I do mean that, and will explain upon asking.

I feel there was a chapter worth of info that has just been completely skipped.

That prologue is nice. But unfortunately for me, the story doesn't seem to continue from there, in true Robert Jordan fashion.

Aside from some editing gaffes (eg. Duplications of character description, minor grammatical errors), overall the story flows well so far. I am a little disturbed by how much of a beating poor Mirena is taking, and she really is an unfortunate, helpless character up to this point so far. She also is not in good control of her emotions, but I guess her character is supposed to be very young.

The story picked up a bit around the 10% Mark and it's getting more interesting. I feel somewhat sorry for Mirena. She's a very self-deprecating character.
