Status Updates From Face the Music: A Life Exposed

I'm impressed; Paul pulls no punches and talks candidly about what went down. Obviously, this is his version of events, but he also calls out his own bs. Also, I kinda never realized how New York he is.

Audiobook memoirs read by the authors are my new obsession. And Paul Stanley was one of my first loves, musically. He shows a lot of vulnerability here.

The book is so good. I’m loving every single minute of reading.

"I read somewhere that when Beethoven wrote his second symphony in 1802, a piece that as a kid I’d found extremely uplifting, he was suicidal. Maybe I could write myself out of a funk, too.

Stanley was so mature in some aspects. I'm impressed.
A visionary, I'd say.
It's majestic to see how much Kiss contributed to music and performance's history. Such an inspiration to so many artists as well as their fans.
I really appreciate it.

I just love that we get to embark on this journey with Paul Stanley.
From how they got together to coming up with the band name, as well as finding a producer and playing gig after gig aspiring to be one of the greatest and most unique rock groups in the world.
Paul is a great story teller.

I love how Stanley talks about his childhood listening to Beethoven, Sibelius, and WQXR’s Live at the Met.

I know there's a shit ton of super interesting things in this book that I should have highlighted earlier, but THIS.
I don't really like playing faves (with this band at least) but Gene had it coming.

Very well written; for someone who writing isn't their specialty, this is a fantastic debut. For someone who writing is their specialty, this is a fantastic debut. A lot of gems for fans, but most appeals to anyone. A lot of great life lessons.

Started out pretty interesting. Now, it's getting pretty laborious, but I'm determined to finish.

I'm surprised that I like this book so far. Such adversity to overcome at such a young age.

Wow! So far, an interesting read. Didn't realize that he was dead in one ear.

Finally finished this book. A very good read, even if you're not a KISS fan. It was definitely what you'd expect in some parts and other parts not what you'd expect. Glad he's finally happy.
